Back for a second year the junior members of the Glantawe Theatre company are set for another night of
endless toe tapping music from the decades of Film and Television.

The junior members will sing songs from the likes of Oliver, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, fame and
High School Musical. The fast moving evening of entertainment will have us whistling the tunes and laughing all night.

Directed and produced by Wendy Lowe and Maria rano.

The Neath Round Table Present a great weekend of Fun and music.

Starting on the Friday between 6:30-11:00 pm there will be Live music from the original T Rex & The Last Republic,followed on Saturday afternoon by a Carnival between 12:00 - 4:30 and to finish on Saturday evening music from Roy Wood and Killing for Company.

Annual 7k Fun Run

Abercrave Rugby Football Club will be holding its Annual 7k Fun Run In Aid of the Wales Air Ambulance.The Fun Run will commence at Dan yr Ogof Showcaves and continue to Abercrave RFC

Entrance Fee: Adults - £4 / Children & OAP - £2
Registration will commence at 2pm with the Race starting at 3pm.There will also be an All Day BBQ and Entertainment at the Clubhouse with some great Raffle Prizes and Family Evening Disco at 7pm

The Morriston Phoenix Choir's Founders Concert at Swansea's Grand theatre featuring Swansea Bay Radio's Mike Doyle with his band and the Counterpoint Dance Studio. The night is hosted by Welsh actor Phillip Madoc.

Zac's Place, George Street, Swansea presents an evening of acoustic music with Cardiff based Australian songwriter Rachael Taylor-Beales. She will be performing songs from her 2nd album called 'Red Tree' which was produced by Martyn Joseph and has already received great reviews.

Profits from the concert will go to ongoing work with the homeless community in Swansea

Cancer Research Wales Pink & Blue Walks

There will be a great oppertunity to support a charity fundraising walk Starting outside Verdi’s Restaurant at 11am in Mumbles.The route is a 4.5 miles circular walk, which takes in Black Pill Lido, with stunning views out to Swansea Bay

Registration is £5.00 per person per walk

These walks are suitable for all, but children under the age of 16 should be accompanied by an adult

On Thursday July 24th at Morriston Golf Club,Mark Govier who is the club’s golf professional has offered to take up a challenge and play 72 holes in a day. To mark the event there will also be an evening of entertainment with one of Wales’ top vocalists Mark Wilkes.

The event is to raise valuable funds for Cystic Fibrosis which is a life threatening inherited condition for which there is no cure.

Pontardulais Fire Station Open Day

Pontardulais fire station will be opening their doors on Saturday 16th August from 11:00am until 4:00pm.

Attractions at the station event will include a display of vintage
fire engines, a static display of a crashed vehicle, the latest fire
engine to be purchased by the service the C.A.R.P. (Combined Arial
Rescue Pump) a display by Pontardulais St John Ambulance group and the
attendance of the rescue vehicle from Morriston fire station and a live
fire display showing how dangerous fire can be. Along with various
stalls including children’s games, there will be an opportunity for
people to dress up as a fire fighter wearing the uniform that is used
by operational fire fighters today, so bring along your cameras.

Entry is free and any money raised will be donated to charity. This is an
ideal opportunity to visit a fire station and to find
out a little more about the work carried out by the fire service.
